Reactive Network: Towards the New Mainnet
Heads up: Reactive Mainnet goes offline for migration on Wednesday, October 28th, at 12:00 UTC.
Why Pause?
On October 7th, Lasna testnet completed its migration to the Omni fork. Now it's mainnet's turn: Reactive Mainnet is leaving the legacy Geth and Prysm stack and moving to CometBFT.
The upgrade brings the same changes Lasna got. Finality becomes instant: once a block is validated, it's permanent, with no reorgs on the Reactive side. Blocks get faster, at roughly 1 second instead of about 7. And with the RVM gone, Reactive contracts deploy once, as standard Solidity, with the usual tooling.
Mainnet also brings delegation and validation, which replace staking seasons. Season 10, the final one, closes with the migration. We'll cover how delegation and validation work in a dedicated article.
Before Wednesday
While the migration runs, Reactive Mainnet won't process transactions, subscriptions, or callbacks. Anything sent its way during that window won't land, so wrap up or pause anything that depends on it. We expect up to 3 hours of downtime.
Lasna testnet won't be affected. We'll post again as soon as mainnet is back up, along with what's changed for your contracts.
About Reactive Network
Reactive Network is an EVM automation layer built around reactive contracts, event-driven smart contracts for cross-chain execution. Reactive contracts subscribe to event logs across EVM chains and run Solidity logic automatically when a matching event fires, issuing cross-chain callback transactions once their conditions are met. The upcoming Omni fork moves the network to CometBFT consensus, bringing instant finality and roughly one-second blocks while keeping full EVM compatibility.
