Lasna Testnet Pauses for Migration

Heads up: Lasna goes offline for migration on Wednesday, October 7th, at 12:00 UTC.

Why Pause?

Back on May 26th, we announced the launch of a new version of Lasna testnet, running on our new CometBFT-based architecture. Now, in preparation for our mainnet migration, the original Lasna testnet, which was based on the legacy Geth and Prysm stack, is also moving to CometBFT.

This is the same upgrade we're preparing for mainnet, which brings instant finality: once a block is validated, it's permanent, with no reorgs on the Reactive side. Blocks also get faster, at roughly 1 second instead of about 7, and Reactive contracts become easier to deploy with the removal of RVMs, in line with standard Solidity contracts and bringing improved tooling with it.

Running the upgrade on Lasna first gives all of us a chance to shake it out before it reaches mainnet.

Before Wednesday

While the migration runs, Lasna won't process transactions, subscriptions, or callbacks. Anything sent its way during that window won't land, so wrap up or pause any tests that depend on it. We expect up to three hours of downtime.

Reactive Mainnet won’t be affected. We'll post again as soon as Lasna is back up, along with what's changed for your contracts and what’s next to come.

About Reactive Network

Reactive Network is an EVM automation layer built around reactive contracts — event-driven smart contracts for cross-chain execution. It runs on CometBFT consensus, providing deterministic finality with roughly one-second block times while maintaining full EVM compatibility. Reactive contracts subscribe to event logs across EVM chains and execute Solidity logic automatically when matching events occur, issuing cross-chain callback transactions when their conditions are met.
